At Lowmead State School, students are encouraged to participate in a diverse range of extra-curricular experiences that enrich learning, foster wellbeing and build connections beyond the classroom. Students proudly represent the school at events such as athletics and cross-country carnivals, Under 8's Day, Life Education programs, performances presented through School Performance Tours, community arts initiatives including the 1770 Art Show, Book Week celebrations, and the Pick of the Crop gardening program, which promotes healthy eating and sustainable practices.
As a small rural school, we value opportunities to collaborate with neighbouring small schools to enhance the overall experience for our students. These shared events provide important opportunities to develop friendships, strengthen social networks, build confidence and represent Lowmead State School with pride. Participation in these activities also supports students in becoming familiar with peers from surrounding communities, helping to foster a sense of belonging and ease the transition to secondary schooling.
